Advice on Money
The Money Advice Service run by Citizens Advice Bureau will be in Trefechan on the afternoon of Wednesday 2nd May 2012 if you have any questions or would like information or advice on a range of money queries e.g benefits, pensions, savings, debts, retirements, redundancy to name just a few. If you would like to book an appointment please call into the Communities First Office in Trefechan or contact us on 01685 383758. Please note that all information is treated as confidential between yourself and the Money Advice Service Advisor.

Greendayz - Saturday 9th June
Greendayz - Saturday 9th June 2012 10am to 4pm at Fedw Hir Eco Centre, Fedw Hir. A Fun Day out for all the family! Environmental Crafts, products, fresh local produce and much much more!

Litter Pick Taf fechan Wednesday 18th April
A group of volunteers will be carrying out a litter pick in the Nature Reserve this wednesday. They would welcome residents coming along to help out on the event. If you would like to help they will be meeting outside the Lord Raglan at 6pm.

Tenovus Cancer Support Unit
Tenovus, Wales’ leading cancer charity, will be coming to Merthyr Tydfil on Monday 16 April 2012 10am to 4pm to showcase their Cancer Support Services and to raise cancer awareness.
The Mobile Cancer Support Unit will be situated in Pentrebach Retail Park, Merthyr Tydfil for you to come and see the range of cancer treatments and support services we can provide. They will be offering free health checks throughout the day, the aim of which is to see if your lifestyle is increasing your risk of cancer
