Free child car seat safety checks available between 9.30am and 5.30pm on Thursday 23rd June 2011 at the Asda Store, Dowlais Top where Merthyr Tydfil County Borough Council Trading Standards Service in conjunction with the road safety section will be offering free child car seat safety checks.

RDP Grant Funding Information Day
Rural Action Merthyr is holding an RDP grant information day for people to express an interest in accessing an RDP grant. The information day will be held at:
Cefn Coed Community Centre Monday 20th June 2011 10am to 15:00pm
The meeting is open to anybody from within the Vaynor Ward community who may have an interest in accessing the RDP grant. To access an RDP grant your project must be new and innovative and will need to link to the key areas below:
- diversification into non-agricultural activities
- support for business creation and development
- encouragement of tourism activities
- basic services for the rural economy and population
- village renewal and development
- conservation and upgrading of the rural heritage
- training and information measure
The Information Day will provide an opportunity to:
discuss your project with the RDP team
As any questions in regards to the RDP grant
Identify essential criteria
Complete and expression of interest
Identify and confirm your next steps in submitting an application for an RDP grant.
