Healthy Cooking on a budget

As part of adult learners week, we will be running a Healthy Cooking on a budget workshop on Monday 14th May 1pm at Trefechan OAP Hall. Please note that places are limited. Please book a place with a member of the team on 01685 383758 as places are limited.

History Walk and Talk

Come and join us for a guided walk through Merthyr's Criminal underworld past.

Wednesday 16th May 10.30, meet outside Town and Park Communities First Office, Pontmorlais, Merthyr Tydfil

Walk will last for approx 1 hour and finish at Pontmorlais.

Beauty Therapy Training

Currently out of work, not in full time employment, claiming benefits and/or economically inactive?

If so, you may be interested that the Nail Training Academy/Foundation 14a are running a 12 week training course in beauty therapy in Merthyr Tydfil.

The course is open to people of any age who can spend 2 days per week during school hours (10am – 3pm) studying for a beauty therapy qualification.

The course is due to start week commencing
19th March 2012.

And the best news is that if you are eligible, the course is free (usual cost £2500 per student)!

Easter farmers Market

Merthyr Tydfil Farmers Market is held on the 1st Friday of every month, at High Street Merthyr Tydfil (between HSBC Bank and WH Smiths).

As usual you will find fresh quality products that are grown, reared or made within a 50 mile radius. By buying at the Farmers Market you will be supporting Welsh Farmers and helping do drive the local econmoy. Many of the foods you find at the market are True Taste of Wales award winners which recognises the best in welsh cuisine.
