Volunteering Opportunities in Merthyr Tydfil County Borough

Looking to volunteer? There are a range of organisations who are looking for volunteers to spare a few hours a week. Below is a few examples of what is available,for more information on volunteering please contact Karen Foley on 01685 353913 or Frances Barry on 01685 353901.

Please note that many organisations pay volunteer expenses such as travel costs etc and have flexible hours to suit the volunteer.

Some examples of current volunteering opportunities are:

Merthyr Hospital Broadcasting (merthyr Hospital Radio) are looking for volunteer broadcasters - no previous expereience is required and full training will be provided

Meet and Greet (Prince Charles Hospital) - looking for meet and greet volunteers - flexible times to suit volunteer

Merthyr Tydfil Borough Citizens Advice Bureau - looking for volunteer administrators, receptionists, advisor and adviceline volunteers

Merthyr Tydfil Children's Contact centre - looking for volunteer centre assistant, volunteer receptionist, volunteer kitchen assistant

Heart Beat 95 - looking for vounteer driver for Merthyr Tydfil area

Groundwork Merthyr and Rhondda Cynon Taff - looking for volunteers to help with environmental projects

Swim Wales - volunteering opportunities for swimming marshalls, recorders, sales etc

SSAFA Forces - volunteering opportunities available for case workers and fundraisers
