In Merthyr Tydfil the level of tooth decay in children and young people is unacceptably high with high levels of decayed, missing or filled teeth.
Thanks to funding from the Trefechan Communities First Partnership, young people from Trefechan Youth Club have benefited from an oral health workshop and a free dental health pack designed to promote oral health amongst young people. The dental health pack provided the young people with information and advice on how to look after their teeth and dental health as well as free tooth paste, tooth brushes and dental care products.
